EXTENSION OF THE VALIDITY OF GREEN PASSPORT GRATIS

IN CASE OF DELAYS IN ePASSPORT DELIVERY

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah wishes to inform all Filipinos within its area of responsibility that pursuant to Foreign Service Circular No. 37-11 dated 19 April 2011,  all requests for the extension of the validity of Machine Readable-Ready Passports (MRRP/Green Passports) shall be extended GRATIS if the delayed passport has not arrived within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of passport application and data capturing.

The Consulate shall adopt this temporary measure in view of the technical adjustments in the implementation of the Philippine ePasspsort, which led to the delay in the delivery and release of passports here in Jeddah.,

This procedure shall be effective immediately and only until 30 June 2011.
