POLICE CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES

(as of 22 February 2011)

A. If applicant is in Jeddah/Western Region:

For applicants in Jeddah or any province of the Western Region including Makkah, Madinah, Asir, Abha, Al Baha, Khamis Mushayt, Gizan, Rabigh, Taif and Yanbu, the Consulate General will endorse the application for Police Clearance to the Office of the Director of the Police Department, Jeddah or its counterpart in the Western Region.

 

Requirements:

  1. Duly-accomplished Application for Endorsement Certificate for Saudi Police Clearance for Filipinos in Jeddah and the Western Region with one (1) recent photo (1 piece, 2 x 2 size, colored, and with white background)
  2. Copy of valid Philippine Passport
  3. Copy of valid Saudi Iqama/Residence Permit
  4. Fee: SR100.00

B. If applicant is outside Jeddah/in the Philippines:

Under the new set of procedures, former Filipino workers or residents of Saudi Arabia may now apply for a Police Clearance thru the Consulate. The Consulate shall process such requests from former Filipino workers or residents of Jeddah and the Western Region including Makkah, Madinah, Asir, Abha, Al Baha, Khamis Mushayt, Gizan, Rabigh, Taif and Yanbu.

The requirements and procedures, per Note No. 94/70/19/373270 from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dated 3 November 2010, are as follows:

Requirements:

INITIAL REQUIREMENTS: (Needed by the Consulate to obtain a Fingerprinting Card)

  1. Letter from the applicant addressed to the Consulate indicating the following:
    1. PURPOSE of his/her request (work, immigration, visit, citizenship acquisition, etc.)
    2. IQAMA NUMBER with DATE AND PLACE OF ISSUANCE
    3. CONTACT DETAILS OF APPLICANT preferably EMAIL ADDRESS and MOBILE NUMBER for easy coordination by the Consulate with applicant
    4. One (1) SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE/COURIER ARRANGEMENTS for sending the Fingerprinting Card and Application for Endorsement Certificate

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (To be submitted with FINGERPRINTING CARD)

  1. Duly-accomplished Fingerprinting Card with two (2) recent photos (2 pieces, 2 x 2 size, colored, and with white background)
  2. Duly-accomplished Application for Endorsement Certificate for Saudi Police Clearance for Filipinos in Jeddah and the Western Region with one (1) recent photo (1 piece, 2 x 2 size, colored, and with white background)
  3. Photocopy of Philippine Passport used in Jeddah/Western Region with all visas and exit/re-entries clearly shown
  4. Photocopy of Saudi Iqama/Residence Permit issued by local authorities  during applicant’s stay in Jeddah/Western Region
  5. Photocopy of Certificate of Employment or Certificate of No Objection
  6. One (1) self-addressed stamped envelope/Courier arrangements for sending the Police Clearance

Procedures:

  1. The Consulate, thru a Note Verbale, shall obtain from local authorities a Fingerprinting Card.
  2. Said Fingerprinting Card and application form will be sent by the Consulate to the applicant by mail/courier.
  3. The applicant shall duly accomplish the Fingerprinting Card and send/submit it back to the Consulate together with two (2) recent photos (2 pieces, 2 x 2 size, colored, and with white background) along with other forms and requirements.
  4. The Consulate will prepare an endorsement of the application thru another Note Verbale.
  5. The Note Verbale will have to be authenticated by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
  6. The authenticated Note Verbale and the duly-accomplished Fingerprinting Card will be brought to the Office of the Director of the Police Department, Jeddah for filing and processing.
  7. The Consulate will claim the Police Clearance after 1-2 months and afterwhich, send it back to the applicant.

8. Fees: Payable to the Consulate

a. Notarial Fee (Consulate):  SR100.00

b. Authentication Fee (Saudi MFA): SR 60.00 (Endorsement Certificate and

Police Clearance, SR 30.00 each)

c. Mail/Courier Fees: To be arranged by the applicant.


In the past, Saudi authorities only processes applications for Police Clearance for Filipinos and other foreign nationals who are presently working or residing in Saudi Arabia.  For former Filipino workers or residents who request for a similar document, the Consulate provides a Certificate of No Derogatory Record (NDR) in lieu of said clearance.

C. Certificate of No Derogatory Record

The Consulate will still continue to issue said Certificate of No Derogatory Record for those who require and still have use of it in accordance with its previous rules. 

The requirements are as follows:

  1. Copy of previous passport/s showing date of entry and exit from Jeddah
  2. Copy of Employment Certificate during the period of stay in Jeddah
  3. Fee: SR100.00 if applied for in the Consulate or $25.00 payable to the Cashier Section, 4th Floor, Office of Fiscal Management, Department of Foreign Affairs if applied for in the Philippines thru the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA)
