CIRCULO ILONGGO DONATES TV TO THE CONSULATE GENERAL

Last 9 October 2011, the Philippine Consulate General became a recipient of a 32” LCD flat screen colored television from the Circulo Ilonggo of Saudi Arabia (CISA), one of the longest existing Filipino organizations in Jeddah.

The unsolicited television donation was gladly received by Consul General Uriel Norman R. Garibay at a simple ceremony held at the Consular Section.  Also present during the handing-over ceremony were Consul and Head Consular Section Mary Jennifer Dingal, Administrative Officer Abdurraheym S. Y. Macud, and other officers and members of the CISA.

Consul General Garibay expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Circulo Ilonggo for their continued support for the Consulate’s projects and activities thru its President, Mr. Jess Tamera. For his part, Mr. Tamera reiterated CISA’s continuing commitment to be of assistance to the Consulate at all times.

The television, which is now mounted at the Consular Section, will be used to enhance the Consulate’s overall public diplomacy and information dissemination for the benefit the Filipinos in Jeddah and the Western Region.
